the problem as same for me, I have worked good few years Until Ubuntu 16.04 daily 20160406 works fine. the release run on the kernel 4.4.16. that is, the Wifi has no problem until got 16.04 daily 20160415+later. My WiFi connection failed mostly since I have upgrade to daily 20160415 + later.

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem? Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v4.6 kernel[0
