Similar here - I find not only that it freezes (never does in XP...) but
also the ball motion isn't smooth either - and it just pauses at fairly
random intervals.
Same lbreakout version, nvidia 8600en card.

I have similar problem with frozen-bubble, it becomes a window after
15-20 min and loses focus. Using Nvidia 8600 gt. Can not switch to free
nv driver

I have also experienced lbreakout2 pausing game play for no apparent
reason. For me, however, the window did not 'restore' - it stayed
fullscreen as I had set it. The frequency of erroneous pausing was not
steady; sometimes I could play for 20 minutes & nothing - sometimes it
would pause twice in
nexuiz and lbreakout2 both use libsdl1.2 for graphics, so it is likely a
problem with that lib.

interval) it becomes a window(restoring original resolution) and pauses.
After that when I click on the lbreakout window and wait a few seconds it
restores resolution and becomes fullscreen
When changing my driver to nv I get my widescreen resolution(1680x1050)
in 4:3 on my screen(everything looks stretched) and I cant play
lbreakout because my paddle won't move from his position. I can't test

Jurriaan, to rule out that it is a driver problem, could you please try
temporarily switching back to the free nv driver, and see if you can
still reproduce this problem?

I can't confirm this problem (not within 15 minutes at least). Might be
specific to your driver?
I'm on gutsy, using lbreakout version 2.5.2
Using compiz fusion and intel i810 driver, 1024x768.
