No, this was a Gutsy-only issue. The bug didn't occur in Hardy Heron - Compiz works flawlessly. I don't know about Intrepid, frankly I have given up installing beta releases. But as no one else reported this bug, it should probably be closed. -- glxinfo segfaults on activation of visual effects (

I seem to get different output from Gutsy final. There's still a chance that compiz successfully activates, but the effects are gone on the next login. Usually the Desktop Effects won't activate at all. I attached two text files, each one containing a different output of gnome-appearance- propertie

@Amaranth You certainly know the inner workings better than I do, but I'm not convinced this is actually glxinfo. Running "glxinfo" from a terminal produces no segfault whatsoever (output attached), while running "compiz.real --replace" leads to a system freeze (with no output at all) like the one
