@Amaranth You certainly know the inner workings better than I do, but I'm not convinced this is actually glxinfo. Running "glxinfo" from a terminal produces no segfault whatsoever (output attached), while running "compiz.real --replace" leads to a system freeze (with no output at all) like the one described above.
