In Kubuntu Jaunty today I have installed the compiz-kde package, because
compiz depends on compiz-gnome (I think it should depend on compiz-
gnome | compiz-kde, bug #347077 ) and compizconfig-settings-manager. Now
I can confirm this bug still exists, there are no icons in CCSM.

I haven't tried to use Compiz since KDE4 came along, and I'm reluctant to
install it in case it mucks something up (I find graphics a bit like a house
of cards--once it works, don't play with it). But CCSM still doesn't, as far

I have the same problem - no icons. librsvg2-common is already installed
so can't be solution for me

I had this same problem upon installing compizconfig-settings-manager
(Kubuntu Gutsy) and can confirm that installing librsvg2-common solved
it.

On Kubuntu Gutsy beta, with compiz and compiz-fusion-plugins-main, the
icons for the various options and categories are gone, replaced with a
generic folded-corner-paper icon.

Installing this library solved it for me librsvg2-common.
