On my Asus A6Rp and installed Ubuntu 8.04 LTS I also notice this
problem. The system suddenly goes to suspend mode. This happens
approximately 3 times a day.

I still am seeing this behavior. Generally the computer suddenly
suspends in this manner, it will not resume regularly (I must restart).
Attached is my syslog. See line around 1213 "Oct 5 11:11:07 azvoleff-
