I did a fresh install of gutsy and half my problems are solved now. The
volume that doesn't effect all channels is a duplicate of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-utils/+bug/59493.The
middle speaker still doesn't work but I'll file a separate one for that
later. I'm ganna mark this on
My sound worked with one user but not with another. The reason was that
the user with no sound was added in the commandline: [adduser username]
then that user was added to the admin group [adduser username admin]
When I looked at the preferences for the user in the GUI, I needed to
tick a few boxe
Yeah, same chipset. I dunno bout the module though. The module should be
listed in the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base file right? I really can't tell
which one it is but here's my /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base file if it helps

I have problems to but my board is lanparty nf4-ultra and audio does not
work at all for me currentlly, spdif or analog. same chipset same snd-
hda-intel. ... right?
