This bug still exists, even on existing Fesity systems that later have
bcm43xx-fwcutter installed...

The upgrade continued but it did give another error message at the end
of the upgrade and said that the upgrade process was going to be undone.
Every time a new application/package is installed using the package
manager, it produces another error saying that 'bcm43xx-fwcutter' could
not be installe
or clarification, the upgrade process continued and this laptop now has
Feisty Fawn 7.04.
