The upgrade continued but it did give another error message at the end
of the upgrade and said that the upgrade process was going to be undone.
Every time a new application/package is installed using the package
manager, it produces another error saying that 'bcm43xx-fwcutter' could
not be installed. I was doing the upgrade for someone else but as far as
I know everything is working properly (including the wireless network
card).

This laptop initially had Dapper (6.06) installed on it and I upgraded
it to Edgy (6.10) and then immediately upgraded it again to Feisty
(7.04). The wireless network card driver was installed manually in
Dapper.
