thank you for that explanation, it works.
I still don't understand why an ext3 usb key disk is not mounted with
user's right in the first place but with root's right but you gave me a
good workaround.

It is still the same (Gutsy) but it might not be a bug but simply how the rule
is written.
Indeed the rule for fat or ntfs USB partition gives ownership to the user while
there is nothing expressly said for extfs.
And of course I don't remember in what udev rules I saw that...
