It's quite unlikely that someone names a directory '2007-05-25_01.52.51.877577.%computername.ful', but you may be right, it's probably not a good practice. How about, when changing the backup directory in simple-backup-config, a friendly popup that asks you if you want to move your existing backups

I can understand the problem you have faced, but imagine that fore some reason, someone names one of its own dir so that it matches sbackup regex. We can't exclude it. But I think it can be a good idea to exclude the backup folder (I mean the root eg. /var/backup/ ) by preventing users to choose i
