My installation uses the default windows installation. (UEFI), i then have
Ubuntu on a separate partition, and have used boot-repair to fix the boot.

I just tested both Live-CDs.
Waking up from suspend does not work in
http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/natty/ubuntu-11.04-desktop-amd64.iso
live.
But there's a subtle difference: The HDD LED does not start to flash or shine
(only the LED that indicates the power state).

thanks for the assistance. I already tested the mainline kernel 3.7.0-030700
(http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.7-raring/), it shows exactly
the same behaviour.
