I just tested both Live-CDs. Waking up from suspend does not work in http://old-releases.ubuntu.com/releases/natty/ubuntu-11.04-desktop-amd64.iso live. But there's a subtle difference: The HDD LED does not start to flash or shine (only the LED that indicates the power state). Using Raring, Quantal, Precise and Oneiric the HDD activity LED *does* flash or shine. This is kind of strange since waking up from suspend worked with this image (dates April 2011) a year ago.
Same goes for http://releases.ubuntu.com/oneiric/ubuntu-11.10-desktop- amd64.iso - waking up does not work. By the way: There has been a BIOS upgrade (version 24, "4BCN24WW": http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS018589) in August 2011. I applied it the very same month. Back then, suspending still worked in Oneiric, even after reinstalling Ubuntu. Thus, it seems the BIOS upgrade has nothing to do with this. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1090534 Title: Freeze when waking up from suspend To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1090534/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
