I can see the available networks, however when I connect it will *never*

I have an Ubuntu 12.04 KVM server , using Centos 6 guests - when I
install the latest kernel for centos 6.3 -2.6.32-279.1.1.el6 - if you
reboot from inside a Centos6 vm it gets stuck in a loop

For Nvidia users the ONLY way to get a responsible experience in 3D apps
games is to enable
composite -> "unredirect fullscreen windows"
it fixes ALL performance issues - regardless of the ' Sync To Vblank'
setting ... It's the same speed as kde (with /without desktop effects),

Sorry forgive me after the latest updates, I can now enable 'unredirect
fullscreen windows' and reboot into Unity fine.

In Unity (3D) there are rendering issues (i.e a weird rectangle in the
middle of the screen) when running in Fullscreen that doesn't occur in
any other desktop environment I have tried - i.e c
The phoronix benchmarks do not tally with what I see.
I have a nvidia 450 , I have just got a i5 CPU and its unity is still
unusable for games, ALL other desktops are fine.
The unigine benchmark for example is not only 50% slower it looks
terrible (i.e not disaplying correctly) unless I enable 'u
I notice this is still 'unassigned' - how do we get it 'assigned' and
stop unity damaging Linux's reputation as a gaming system?

By not having the option enabled Ubuntu is 1/2 the speed in games
compared with Kubuntu / Xubuntu, Bodhi, etc
Its a fault 100% with unity's interaction with compiz...
I really fear this bug will cause Linux to get unnecessarily bad press
with gamers...

If you run this out the box in unity its not only 1/2 the speed it
should be the graphics are not actually correct.
However if I enable 'unredirect fullscreen windows' then the speed is
normal.

Its really annoying as some (older) games run so slow UNLESS I enable
'unredirect fullscreen windows'
Its annoying as the option works, only when you restart unity you can't
do anything (except restart lightdm)

I am deeply worried that Ubuntu 12.04 is going to be released with the
latest stable Nvidia driver.
At present there are far to many issues with that diver (that is fixed
by using the previous one - 290.10)
For example
1 . Game not able to run *UNLESS* you run with gdb:
Same here - tried 2 different DVD burners - they work in Arch linux
(KDE4) and Winblows XP.
Also - k3b is not able to burn an .iso in Ubuntu 11.10
