So we have to wait until Unity 5.16.0 "SRU-2" before the fix in place for Ubuntu 12.04 ? (i hope its before steam in launched for Linux..)
One other bug which I most likely related still exists for unity at present (I have just with the latest unity updates today) https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1012401 This is really really easy to re-create - just download the heaven 3 unigine engine benchmark http://unigine.com/products/heaven/download/ - Run it in Unity3D - you will see an area in the middle of the screen which doesn't update correctly (also performance sucks) - Run it in another non compiz DE and the issues are fixed. Is this bug also going to be fixed for in the 5.16 SRU-2 updates ? I fear this will also effect the Oil Rush game (uses the same engine) Again at present it is only happening in unity, other desktops are fine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/988079 Title: Much slower OpenGL frame rates with unityshell loaded, than plain compiz To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubutter/+bug/988079/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
