I can confirm that bug.
Same version, same bug, same fix.
But there is one strange thing:
when using the original mpd.conf with
bind_to_address set to "localhost",
even thought mpd does not install properly, it starts up well on system
startup. Only when restarting it by "/etc/init.d/mpd restart"

I have the same problem (conky with wmii) and I fixed it by simply setting
"own_window_transparent no" in ~/.conkyrc.
The only problem is, that I'd like to have transparency for conky.

I have a very similar problem. I got a wlan card with rtl8180L chipset.
If I try to get an IP via DHCP, the system freezes and the numlock and
capslock leds start to blink. I am using ubuntu gutsy.
uname -a:

I had a similar problem:
my system: gutsy + gnome + compiz + radeon driver
running desktop-effects and enabling the effects remove all window
decorations.
I fixed it by installing "compiz-gnome" wich is a package for compiz
window decorators for gnome.
Now i have title bars on the top of my wind
openoffice.org2.
Even though its a minor step compared to the number of private
workstations in france, it is an improvement.
