This is quite an annoying bug. I just tried out the Intrepid Live CD and
wondered if Intrepid's doesn't have AES support or something like this.
Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't this even a regression? As far as I
remember Hardy's cryptsetup didn't have this problem.
What about Collin's idea of cryp
Hi Brian,
yes, this is still an issue as the vanilla loop / cryptoloop module
doesn't support loop-aes ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/loop-aes/ ).

"cp -a" doesn't preserve setUID
https://bugs.la
Hi Jean-Baptiste,
here's how I just reproduced it:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# sshfs [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/ /media/temp0/
[EMAIL PROTECTED]'s password:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# cp -a /bin/su /media/temp0/
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# ls -l /bin/su
-rwsr-xr-x 1 root root 25540 2008-04-03 03:08 /bin/su
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
It seems this isn't a pure cp problem after all. The error only occurs
when copying to a filesystem mounted via SFTP. However, copying to a
mounted SFTP filesystem via rsync doesn't remove the SUID flag.

I can confirm this. To install manually,

open a root shell in the extracted directory
