Public bug reported: When using debian-installer's partitioner, if you set up an encrypted partition and then set up LVM for this partition, removing the encrypted partition is not possible anymore.
Even if you remove all LVM volumes and the volume group again, the installer still denies access to the physical partition set up for encryption -- saying it is in use. In my case, I wanted to set up a root encrypted system but forgot the unencrypted boot partition. The only way I found to correct my mistake was by rebooting. Even going back one step in the installer didn't give me access to the partition. ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/932603 Title: debian-installer / partitioner: can't go back after setting up crypto To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/932603/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
