Public bug reported: Did an upgrade from Jaunty to Karmic and the process appeared to work. My Jaunty install was using restricted Nvidia drivers installed via Restricted Drivers tool, rather then Envy. On reboot, the white Ubuntu logo is present but then the screen goes black and there is a lot
