unable to run compiz after upgrade of 4/18/09. it had worked previously.
When trying to enable compiz to run using appearance preference - visual
effects I get dialog box stating "Desktop effects could not be enabled"
is this the same problem as in alpha beta 8.10 of blacklist

network, wifi connect icon missing on

I have ran the alsa-info script. It uploaded succesfully. Sorry it took
so long, I didn't understand how to execute it. I have been checking
mike again since I am running the 8.10 beta. It is still not working.

I have an hp pavilion dv9500 with the same audio problem. I have been
using gutsy since tribe 1. Hoping for a resolution to this ongoing
problem. Evidently their is a bug in the kernel. The kernel developers
have been aware of it for some time and it has been resolved. If you
upgrade to the latest
