I just had a general crash, and installed a new Ubuntu Karmic.Whaouh! If I
were a newbie I'd erased the whole stuff

I tried
sudo dpkg-reconfigure -plow --force ttf-mscorefonts-installer
without proxy, but none of the http included in the script was
successful
however direct http connexion to the firs of these url was successful

I noticed this error during the installation of Karmic (an thought erroneously
that it would concern Musescore, whose main file is "mscore" So I checked
this program who has apparently no problem..but was stuck when trying to
use Knoda (a database front-end, which I am heavily in need of
similar problem:
printing from A4 pdf "by two" to A3 sheet, I found that the "assembler"
(french for assemble? join copies?) is inoperant.
If I print 2 copies, the 2 copies for a given sheet are printed
successively...

Being new to Ubuntu (but using previously Knoda), I was not aware of the
existence of intrepid.
In fact, up to now I just browsed the french Ubuntu site.
