It turned out that it was my mistake, I was using output 'tv'
instead of 'TV'. However still I can't set a proper TV
I forgot to add, that I've try to change any other parameter,
like LEFT or TOP with --set command and I've got the same result.

I've got the same problem on Lenovo N100 in Gutsy.
In Windows It is ok. I think the problem is that Ubuntu incorrect manages fan
speeds.
After power on it works ok. But sometimes after sleep/hibernate it keeps cpu
fan at low level
and after some time computer shuts down due to overheat.
