I've got the same problem on Lenovo N100 in Gutsy. In Windows It is ok. I think the problem is that Ubuntu incorrect manages fan speeds. After power on it works ok. But sometimes after sleep/hibernate it keeps cpu fan at low level and after some time computer shuts down due to overheat. Just before, it went off, when my lid was closed. Where can I find options to control fan speed?
