Have had these slowing down my system after updating to 24.04.1LTS when saving
or moving files while in Nautilus or a browser. Slowdown sometimes 10s.

The whole thing looks a bit confusing at first glance, but this is how it works

recompile the extension with meson and finally “install over” the standard

I have here on Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS the same issue with apparmor and thumbnails
on desktop, please see the attached log.
It would be great if this bug can be fixed again.

I have now made following:
1.) have delete all folders in /home/newcomer01/.cache/thumbnails/
2.) run 'nautilus --select "/home/newcomer01/Schreibtisch/"'
3.) clicked on desktop "Arrange Icons"
4.) fail folder in /home/newcomer01/.cache/thumbnails/ are being created
immediatly
5.) grep ERROR /var
This only affected Focal, the later releases include the second commit
already.

I have discovered something new:
I load a .jpg on the desktop and change from 0664 to e.g. 0777, then the
preview image is created immediately, as far as I know.
But now I go to /home/USERNAME/.cache/thumbnails and delete all folders (fail
