Got the same problem.
Occasionally start getting
cannot set freq 16000 to ep 0x86
about once a second, the whole system goes very slow and I have to power
down the computer to escape.
I too have a logitec camera with an internal mic.

Yes just the ip address works fine, so it is something to do with the
DNS error throwing Thunderbird.

Just accidentally fixed this
What I had done was go to tools -> options ->files->templates->edit
and added /user/home/julianb/MyDocumments/OpenOffice/Templates where I keep
them.
Much to my surprise they failed to appear, they normally showed up no
problem in previous versions.

them either in the new document from template or in organize templates.
