problem for me too.
I did not also have /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf. However, I did
have /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/01-amdgpu-pro-px.conf which was trying to load
the intel driver that was just removed:

Spike, I haven't tested that in a while, but what I recall is that if
you expand the details while in the downloading phase, it then expands
to a few more lines in the installation phase. Can anyone confirm that?

I am having the same problem with an iPhone too. "Trusting" the computer
