I attempted to upgrade from kubuntu 12.04 LTS. I followed the instructions on
the upgrade page, did all of the updates before attempting the upgrade, then
used:
kubuntu-devel-release-upgrade

I have the same issue with kubuntu 10.04 kernel 2.6.32-24-generic on a Dell
Latitude E6510 laptop:
"Informations" says "Touchpad Name: Device not found"
No configuration options are available in the System Settings for the touchpad.
My main interest is to disable to touchpad when I have a usb mous
I am having a similar issue with the following server configuration:
vmlinuz-2.6.32-25-generic, nfs-kernel-server and kubuntu 10.04
the workaround restarting portmap before nfs-kernel-server fixes the
problem for me. I don't see the problem with normal nfs directory
access unless I use thunderbir
