I attempted to upgrade from kubuntu 12.04 LTS. I followed the instructions on
the upgrade page, did all of the updates before attempting the upgrade, then
used:
kubuntu-devel-release-upgrade
It went through the upgrade part way and stopped with a prompt in a
terminal window saying it needed to shutdown kdm. After I did that it
went to a console only (no X server) and now I am starting the
installation from a DVD. I have another system that I would like to
upgrade rather than reinstall so if anyone has recommendations let me
know.
