Running Kubuntu 24.04 on Gigabyte Aorus Master MB, external speakers are
connected via "Digital Output (S/PDIF) Starship/Matisse HD Audio
controller Digital Stereo (IEC958)". After series of last, quite
extensive, software updates this month there is no sound only on
Firefox.
Finally I did:
- get new 2TB M2 SSD
- install fresh ubuntu 20.04 (1TB not crypted for system, 1TB crypted)
- no issues with crypted partition
After that don't have this problem.
So, possible issue was:
- smth wrong when upgrade from 18.04 -> 20.04
- my old m2 SSD (512GB)
- or combination2

Same problems with 5.11rc4 - seems like linux kernel issue when dm-crypt used.
I suspect because of best performance. But in my case, and probably most GUI
users, disk performance isn't most important.
Today it is funny, can't run compilation in case I know will have Teams telco
soon :)

well restarting portmap and nfs helped, and i don't want now to revert
back to faulty config.
i was getting this mesage when booting my diskless workstations:
mount.nfs: rpc.statd is not running but is required for remote locking.
Either use '-o nolocks' to keep locks local, or start statd.

Under Windows Bluetooth works perfectly :(

Had the same problem-solved after deactivated normalizer plugin.But my
question is: what for this plugin is still included when giving
problems?You have to waste your own and others time to come here and
find solution.And the opinion about Brasero going worse!

Find a solution in deleting my home directory :
cd /home
sudo mv USER USER.bak
sudo mkdir USER
sudo chown USER:USER USER
It works now.
I think the problem is near the gnome parameters in .gconf, .gconfd or
problem with any nvidia drivers starting from 'displayconfig-gtk' package,which
is not included in 8.10 distribution!/was in 8.04/.What I've done: in time
upgrading from 8.04,after completing instalation,instaler ask if you what to

To deal with this error I just manually removed all information about
libgphoto2-2 from /var/lib/dpkg/info
Next again
apt-get check
apt-get update
apt-get install libgphoto2-2
everythin works fine.
