Public bug reported: Linux versions: 2.6.32-24-generic (64-bit) 2.6.32-25-generic (64-bit)
all partitions except for /boot are xfs after installing wine1.2 Problem 1 an attempt to display content of /usr/bin results in error message: tajfun2 kernel: [ 2249.289759] nautilus[1953]: segfault at 7fff15821ff8 ip 00007f004a46c56e sp 00007fff15822000 error 6 in libglib-2.0.so.0.2400.1[7f004a410000+db000] I went through all other major directories in file system - /usr/bin appears to be the only troubled directory. Problem 2 changing the content of /home/user/Desktop dos not result in displaying new file icon on the desktop. The icon appears when accessing /home/user/Desktop from the file manager - refreshing the content of this directory from the file manager menu results in the file icon appearing also on the desktop screen the same behaviour found on three different machines with: Intel i7 860 Intel P8700 Core2 Duo AMD Athlon 3800+ uninstalling wine does not change the above behaviour.
