Scenario -
Ubuntu is installed on lots of PCs in my family.
In my house, I might be user 1002
If I add myself as a user to a PC at my wifes families house, I might be user
1007.

dowloading precompiled debs from launchpad.. going through dependency heck, etc.
Today found this svn now has entry for 12.04 Precise

Israel Dahl's .desktop file works great, except the lmms icon is low quality.
I used the icon from the lmms splash screen and it looks much nicer.

If you want normal user to be able to mount network share such as samba/cifs or
nfs...
you can add the following to the very end of /etc/sudoers file and restart.
# allow members of CDROM group to mount without prompting for root password
%cdrom ALL = NOPASSWD:NOEXEC: /bin/mount, /bin/umount, /s
Well, I've actually updated my lab to 10.04 already... I needed some of the
improvements it provides.
I did test it on that system and the error remains.
Ubuntu 10.04
Kernel Linux 2.6.32-21-generic
Gnome 2.30.0
If I remove the "nounix,noserverino" it gives the same issue.

copy to /usr/bin ( if using ubuntu)
overwrite the old youtube-dl
allow executing as program

I think libexpat.so.0 on 7.10 was just a link to libexpat.so.1
I thought the name changed, sorry
Anyway, I didn't have to move any files to the /usr/lib/wink folder.
i just left them in /usr/lib

I just copied all the libexpat.so files from /usr/lib/ on ubuntu 7.10 to the
/usr/lib/ folder on 8.04
Some of the names changed to libexpat.so.1.0.0 or something like that.
I just changed them back to libexpat.so.0
Started right up
