I think that this problem should still be fixed. Having a zombie instead
of a syslog entry is not very nice. "systemctl status certmonger" did
not indicate any problem, even though the certificates were not updated
(if I got this correctly).

I am affected by this problem, too (using certmonger 0.78.6-4 and
freeipa 4.4.4-1+b1 on Stretch). The paths are different, though: getcert
lists helper paths in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/certmonger, but they can
be found in /usr/lib/certmonger.

If thermald is supposed to throttle CPU according to temperature, it
doesn't work.
Whatever is throttling the CPU seems to be unaware of temperature,
because the more I load the machine, the more reliably "cpufreq-info -w"
returns "2801000" while temperature is at 90-95 C.

Why isn't the fan being run in disengaged mode at 5100 RPM by the kernel
in a thermal emergency? Surely that would be easier to do than to have

I just ran into this same problem, trying to install 13.04 amd64 server
to raid10 root with 4 disks from a usb stick created with usb-creator-
kde on kubuntu 13.04 desktop.
Verification of the "CD-ROM disc" from the menu fails for the usb stick,
but this seems to be bogus.

someday, that box will run in gnome fallback mode with bluetile. Might

Gnome environment it works like a charm.
Looking at how long this bug report is open (>3 years!) it seems to me

Testing further the problem seemed to be something in konsole settings.
I've been in the habit of hiding the menu bar, and there has been some
bug with respect to that as well. Now after few trials back and forth I
managed to make the menu bar stay hidden in new terminal, and the

I'm seeing this with konsole in KDE 4.2 on Kubuntu 8.10 amd64.
It doesn't matter if I start konsole from Alt-F2 or panel icon, the end result
is the same.
konsole starts up ok, but "Sorry - Plasma Workspace" modal message box comes up
as well.

Of course the script should not overwrite modifications done by the
user. If Debian doesn't allow to use a comment line tag like "# DO NOT
EDIT THIS FILE, or remove this line", then you could store the md5sum of
yp.conf somewhere to check for user modifications on the next run. If
the md5sum file d

The fingertip solution does not work for me. But after killing hal
(/etc/init.d/hal stop) it seems to work better. A few times I got an
error "Undefined error occured (0x0b)", though.
This is 8.10.
