Not sure if my bug is related, but when I double click on a text file in
Dolphin, I get the message "Sorry - Dolphin. KDEInit could not launch
/usr/bin/kate". However, Kate actually launches.

The problem appears to be occurring in line 256 of /usr/bin/testdrive:
if run("wget -q --spider -S %s 2>&1 | grep 'HTTP/1.. 200 OK'" % ISO_URL) != 0:
removing the "-q" quiet option from this line enables testdrive to properly
download the Kubuntu ISO.
I'm not a code guru, but it appears the -q op
Running wget with the quiet option produces no output. Running it with
the verbose option yields:
wget -v --spider -S
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/daily-live/current/lucid-desktop-amd64.iso
Spider mode enabled. Check if remote file exists.
I don't think the commit fixed the problem, at least I'm still getting
the exact same output.

the 2.6.31-14 kernel is the latest that I get, I think it's the latest there
is, and I'm still getting the error.
I don't use any splash screens at all, maybe that's related?

Confirming this on Kubuntu Jaunty with KDE 4.3 installed from PPA. The
first attempt to logout gets the confirm dialog; subsequent attempts do
not get the confirm dialog. There appears to be no way to troubleshoot
this bug. Shutting down from the command line works normally.

I just started getting this bug on KDE4.2 Beta 2. The problem occurs in
Firefox when copying and pasting in an input box or the location bar.
Selected style is QTCurve, although I believe it also happened with
Oxygen style. GTK Styles is set to Use my KDE style.

Confirming this bug on 2.6.22-14-generic as well. Same output from
evtest as described above by Ignacio Lago Fontán. Suggested fix by
Grzegorz Orciuch doesn't work, xev still fails to see left and right
side wheel clicks.

The 9/27 update of mpd causes x to use 100% of the cpu and kills the
keyboard. After removing mpd the problem goes away.

Nope, unfortunately no one seems to be maintaining Korn. Pretty sad for
an official part of KDE. It wouldn't hurt for you to add a "me to" to
the bug report. I've tried pretty much every KDE mail notifier and they
all suck except Korn.
