When I click the Trash icon on the launchbar in Unity it opens a trash
folder, if I then click the Home icon in the launch bar, nothing
happens. I'd expect it to open a window with the contents of the Home

I've tried opening folders by clicking the top menu icon and typing the
folder's name and location into the search box (i.e. /home/username or
just username), this looks like this should be possible because one of
the filter options is files/folders

Sometimes when I drag a window to the left side of the desktop the
launch bar hides, and sometimes the window slides underneath (and is
obscured by) the launch bar. It doesn't seem to do this with any kind
of consistency, so I can't tell you how to
I'd just like to note (for clarity's sake) that the version of xserver-
xorg-video-intel was not 2.8.1 when this problem occurred, it was 2.9.0.
I had to revert to 2.8.1 in order to regain use of my laptop.

I altered Zoltan's script so that it could handle muting and unmuting,
and also change the speaker icon depending on what the volume was set
at. Ubuntu is displaying notifications for brightness changes on my T60
(don't ask me why), so I can't comment on how the brightness
notifications in this sc
I wanted to add that I don't see any messages in dbus-monitor when I
make volume changes (though I do see messages for brightness changes).
Kees in ubuntu-devel suggested I check that out and report my findings
here. Let me know if you need any additional info.

After a recent apt-get upgrade I no longer see notifications when I
change the volume in Jaunty. When Jaunty was first installed (a few
weeks ago) I did see volume change notifications. I still see other

It's difficult to take a screenshot of the issue because the screenshot
would be of the desktop (after the widget layer disappeared). The act
of trying to take the screenshot actually makes the widget layer
disappear, so by the time I try to capture it, I'm already on the

The Shut Down menu is actually on top of Firefox, but invisible. If you
click in the right spot it'll actually shut your computer down. For
example:
1) Maximize a firefox window, make sure it has focus
2) Open System > Shut Down

Confirming the bug with 2.6.20-15-generic on a Thinkpad T60, after
hibernate sound is gone, reboot fixes the problem.
