Problem: mythtv 0.27.4+fixes.20150423.8f14d3d-0ubuntu0mythbuntu3 does

When installing Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit desktop (fresh install to newly
formatted hard disks), grub fails to install. My motherboard is an asus
e35m1-pro with efi bios. I used gpt partition scheme on a 300 GB hard
disk: sda1 /boot 500 MB ext2, sda2 / 25 GB ext4, sda3 /home ~275 GB
I am using Ubuntu 10.10 64 bit. I also could not open nautilus from
docky with the command: "nautilus". I had to change the command to
"nautilus /home/[user name]"
What worked for me was...
1. created a panel shortcut for my home folder
1.1 rt click on panel (brings up menu) and select "Add to Pan

I had this bug also. I was running a 64 bit version (amd-64 10.04 destop
edition installed from cd). I also was using nvidia graphics card/drivers. I
have since upgraded to 10.10 desktop using the cd installation and the problem
has gone away.
