Same problem here for shuffle 512Mb 1st gen.
Removing libgpod-common solves the problem.

I cannot mount my ipod shuffle. It shows up with the
system>administration>disk utility; but it doesn't have any mountable
partitions. (It actually does)

Hi all,
same for me with HP LJ 1020 and Intrepid (hal-cups-utils is
0.6.17+git20080728-0ubuntu2)
When I turn printer on it's disabled and all print jobs go to queue.
After manually re-enable printer using "enable flag" in system-config-
printer (1.0.5) all works fine.

It's not so urgent so I'm planning to remove all extensions and start
from scratch
