This was an auto update and I didn't see anything but the last part, nor did I
catch an exit status. This was a 9.04 upgraded (from the ubuntu server) to 9.10
and the upgrade broke my previously working audio and the Nvidea driver broke
my vide
My upgrade manager came up with an offer to upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 so
I let it do it and most things work but my sound is gone. I did an
install from scratch on another partition and the sound works fine.
System preferences no longer even shows a sound option, just a volume
control which has
This was an auto-upgrade (distribution upgrade) from 9.04 to 9.10 and
the error message came and went before i could be sure exactly what it
was. This is a best guess since I was watching the news on television
rather than spending an hour watching the screen during the update.
