My upgrade manager came up with an offer to upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 so
I let it do it and most things work but my sound is gone. I did an
install from scratch on another partition and the sound works fine.
System preferences no longer even shows a sound option, just a volume
control which has no sound to adjust. I have an older creative sound
card which is detected during a new install so why not the upgrade? It
did work.
Thanks,
Bill Baka
