I suspended the machine and upon resuming was greeted with a window
saying something about a bad crash and whether I'd like to report it. I
noticed that the software updater was in the middle of an upgrade
(installation, not downloading). This may very well have been the issue

I installed the debugging symbols and will try to create a useful backtrace.
Today though, it appears that my log is clear of those errors and Nautilus
works fine. I haven't done any upgrades since I reported the error. I have
