I can confirm this problem on Feisty Herd 4. I'm not able to connect to my ap
if it's hidden (i.e. SSID broadcast disabled), but will connect just fine if
the ap is NOT hidden.

It seems so from the logs you supplied.
However, you could also try cleaning your dvd with a cleaning kit.
Also, check the data cable of your dvd drive and switch on dma - it's switched
off in the bios now.

There seem to be problems with your dvd drive or with the media.
Did You check the cd for errors? Did You check the md5 sum?
Also, please try with another dvd drive and see whether it works.

There's no need to install the system to get the logs. It's enough to
get until the point where you get the error message and then stop the
installer and take log files.

Just installed final edgy and had my network interfaces (wireless too)
correctly detected and working during install, but not configured after install.
Also, wireless interface is not detected after the installation event though it
was during install.
