I'm can't be 100% certain but I do recall clearly that this problem

I have discovered that the problem is caused by a corrupted .mk4 file.
Isolating and removing the offending feed file using a cut and paste
approach with a file manager allowed me to solve the crash problem
without losing my data.

One thing I've noted is that this problem only started occurring when I
upgraded to Natty. The previous 2 versions of Ubuntu did not give me
the same problem whenever grub2 was updated. In the worst case,
