I had Gutsy and never bothered to look up the fix to this problem. When
I upgraded to Hardy Beta, the sound worked beautifully. I changed my
kernel from 2.6.22-12 to 2.6.22-14 and it went back to the old problem.
Not sure if that's what caused it, but that's the only variable I can
think of between
OK. . .suddenly works now. Don't know what happened, but I had been trying with
no success since about this time yesterday. I gave it another shot right after
submitting this bug report and it worked. Maybe it was a 24-hour bug. :-)
I'll update this ticket if the problem persists.
