I had Gutsy and never bothered to look up the fix to this problem. When
I upgraded to Hardy Beta, the sound worked beautifully. I changed my
kernel from 2.6.22-12 to 2.6.22-14 and it went back to the old problem.
Not sure if that's what caused it, but that's the only variable I can
think of between it working and not. Anyway, I applied the line "options
snd-hda-intel model=auto" to the file, and it works fine again.
