I forgot to add that when it gives the errors and then I press the power
button it goes out of the errors and gives a black screen with a
X-server cursor.
I also forgot to add that I am using ext4, but I think this was clear
anyway...

HP Pavilion dv5: ATA exception on resume from suspend

I confirm this bug for the dv5-1160ed. I did a BIOS update (to F14) but
it didn't help.
When I suspend and then resume I get these errors (among others that I
didn't catch in time):
ata1: irq_stat 0x0040, connection status changed
ata1: SError: {DevExch}
ata2: exception Emask 0x10 SAct 0x0 SE
Just to be clear: Both upgrades were from Kubuntu 8.10 to Kubuntu 9.04.

I just upgraded my other computer and it has the same problem.
*Computer Specs:*
$ uname -a

I screwed around with my existing installation too much and had to do a
fresh install of 9.04 beta and the sound works _fine_ now.
One minor glitch is that the sound drops out once in a while. This can
be fixed by changing the volume, after that it works OK.
I will update my other computer (with

Same happens to me, it also happens when I do the "Ctrl+Alt+Backspace"
shortcut.
