Hi, I have noticed following behavior regarding gnome-screensaver and
gnome-power-manager on my laptop.
If I switch from internal display to external one and then close the lid of the

1.0+svn1081-0ubuntu1~karmic1. I still can't use keyboard during
hibernation process. For me tuxonice-userui was also not working in
textmode until I have applied the pm-util
I noticed another problem. If I set EnableEscape to yes in tuxonice.conf
I still can't stop hibernation process by pressing esc key during
hibernation is processed. Keybord seems not to be working during
hibernation process.

Now I have figured out how to apply the debdiff and here is my report:
In my karmic installation of pm-utils there is no 98-smart-kernel-video
file in /etc/pm/sleep.d. There are only two files: 10_grub-common and
10_unattended-upgrades-hibernate and a symlink named action_wpa. I have
downloaded pm

I have found out that my compiz in side by side configuration of
monitors crash is already known bug of intel graphic driver as you said
before. New behavior of gnome-settings-daemon seems to be rather new
"feature" then a bug.
So I have marked this bug as invalid.

I managed to solve this problem. I uninstalled all kde and qt libraries
and programs and installed them again with dependencies and after that
everything works again. Somehow the original installation messed up the
qt3 and qt4 libraries together.

I must correct myself there are also the two problems with whiteouts on
the external monitor and sometimes if I switch to console I get white
screen instead of the console but I can switch back to X11 with the
ctrl+shift+F7.
