Kubuntu 10.10 to 11.0
My /boot was full. It looks like the kernel packages fill boot, but
never delete old kernels. I'm not sure if there was a "better" way, but
I deleted some older images.

If you'd like me to re-file this kernel install error as a different
bug, let me know. I don't know how to "close" this one and open a new

I got further, but the upgrade did not complete. The kernel package
could not be installed. The upgrade aborted, and it appears as if my
system is in an unstable state. Apt sources are pointed at natty now.
I get the following output when I try to reinstall the kernel:

thanks, I forgot I had pre-released packages selected in KPackageKit.
Unchecking that, I've gotten further. I'm now at the "Do you want to start the
upgrade?". I'm proceeding, but it looks like your suggestion fixed my issue.

I was trying to upgrade to Kubuntu 11.04 via KPackageKit.
I had my origins changed to use a specific server (mirrors.rit.edu) which I
changed via the KPackageKit gui. I'll switch over to the main server and see
if that helps.

Attempted to upgrade, failed during the "Setting new software channels" with an
error dialogue saying "Could not calculate the upgrade".
System was a clean install of 10.10, and had all updates installed before
trying the upgrade.

sudo apt-get purge nvidia-current nvidia-current-modaliases nvidia-common
nvidia-settings
sudo reboot
then a
sudo apt-get install nvidia-current, nvidia-current-modaliases, nvidia-common,
nvidia-settings
sudo nvidia-xconfig
sudo reboot
Still no luck using the nvidia drivers.

On upgrade to 2.6.35-23, nvidia has stopped working for me. It was
working on 2.6.35-22. However settings configured with "sudo nvidia-
settings" have never persisted across reboots in 10.10.
If I blow away /etc/X11/xorg.conf and reboot, the system comes up

In Kopete, if I click Settings->Configure->Video Kopete hangs, but never
crashes. Sometimes the Configure window pulls up the devices tab, where
it shows a generic webcam icon in the video pane. Other times it just
freezes at the account menu

I'm having this issue as well. The UI will also let me type in a custom
NTP server, and appears like it will work, but the setting does not
persist. It is interesting however, that it WILL set the time once this
way. Attached is what the UI looks like when I set the time using a
custom ntp serve
It must have been an issue with my USB image. I burned a DVD with the
same .ISO, and everything is working.

That's the "beauty" of the DES card. You cannot know the next password.
(Obviously there is some algorithm to determine it that the VPN server
and card know, but the idea is that it should not be reverse-engineer-
able.) I punch in a PIN # and it spits out a password. 3 wrong PIN

other people and KVPNC. There are a lot of bugs with the profiles,
which is why I'm looking forward to networkmanagement working :->
