Binary package hint: update-manager
1. I'm running Kubuntu 10.10 and while I'm upgrading to Kubuntu 11.04.
2. $ apt-cache policy update-manager

3. I'm in the "Getting new packages" stage of the Distribution Upgrade window.
The ETA says, "About XX minutes remaining". However, it seems like the way
this value is calculated is not very helpful.
As files are being fetched, I'm observing speeds between 11kB/s and 4380kB/s.
It seems like the ETA algorithm should have at least SOME averaging so that my
ETA doesn't go from minutes to days.
4. The entire upgrade process my ETA counter bounces every few seconds
between a few minutes, to a few hours, to a few days.
Thankfully the Fetching X of Y files at Z kB/s line gives me a better
idea of what's going on, but I can't easily use that to calculate a
better ETA.
