I can confirm, that this bug is still present in Ubuntu 15.10: Upon
system start, a crash of 'mediascanner-service-2.0' was reported, and
the crash dialog claimed that mediascanner package was never upgraded
since Ubuntu 11.04, which was the Ubuntu version originally installed
when I got my laptop
I think I read somewhere, that manually invoking the failed command
allows the user to proceed. In the case of the original problem report
this would be the following command:
wipefs -a /dev/sdb1
Make sure you pass the correct partition to this command, or you will
lose data on whatever

I also discovered that after unmounting the disk and rmmod-ing sbp2
hibernate works fine! So could this be a bug in the sbp2 module, hence a
kernel bug?
