I was running Ubuntu 20.04 on a B550 motherboard.
I believe the 2.5gb ethernet is actually only in newer kernels normally
but Ubuntu backport it.
It was working fine, then I received a kernel upgrade 5.4.0-53 and the
ethernet dissapeared.

Yeah I suppose. I don't use this laptop anymore because I got a better
one, but I recall having to remove the intel-microcode package to get my
laptop booting again at the time. It's an older laptop though, I am
quite happy to close this issue.

I noticed that this is fixed in Ubuntu 12.04, /etc/resolv.conf is now a
symlink to /run/resolvconf/resolv.conf and /run is mounted as tmpfs so
it now works if /etc is mounted as readonly.
Maybe this bug can be closed now?

Why does it say this bug is fixed for natty, when it still is happening?
I have fully upgraded my system (to the 2.6.38-15 kernel) and it's still
happening.
I have tried a lot of workarounds mentioned here, none work, I still get
GPU hangs.

Ubuntu comes out they won't build the current stable version of Panda 3D
for that newer version for a quite some time. In the end, we usually

repository (you get the error - Couldn't map MMIO region: No such file

I am experiencing serious artifacts with the Sandy Bridge graphics card
when doing 3D. Because we are trying to use this card at work, I have
been testing this card for the last 2 months trying to get it to work
with no luck, so I have done quite a lot of testing towards this

persists, also you cannot uninstall pm-utils to put on pm-utils 1.3,
because that will also remove gdm and many other pakages. I have not

Django 1.0 has been released now. It would be really good if it will
make it into the Intrepid repository. Django 0.96 is very old and hardly
anyone uses it anymore. Even before Django 1.0's release, a lot of
people were using the SVN because of how old 0.96 was getting. It makes

Ever since upgrading from Firefox 3 BETA 5 to Firefox 3 RC1 via the
repositories, I noticed a bug in the rendering of the address bar drop
down.
The horizontal lines in between addresses are suddenly extremely light
and almost not visible at all.
Sorry for the comment pollution, but you can still work around this
issue by manually downloading the libmagick9 deb file, I found here on
