I tried Ubuntu 11.04 amd64 on my Vostro 3700 and the problem still persists, also you cannot uninstall pm-utils to put on pm-utils 1.3, because that will also remove gdm and many other pakages. I have not found a workaround yet, installing laptop-mode-tools does not fix the problem, and neither does adding pcie_aspm=off to grub and running update-grub.
I am dissapointed to see this bug carry over to another version of Ubuntu, I am really hoping this bug will be fixed with Ubuntu 11.10, as it affects so many people with laptops purchased in the last year or so. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/656745 Title: notebook crashes on battery with particular wlan or other pcie devices enabled (dell vostro 3700, asus, medion, acer and others) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
